KIYOKO HOSODA JEWELS

Dal 2002 disegno e realizzo artigianalmente i miei gioielli in argento 925 e acciaio. La mia auto-produzione, a tiratura limitata, è improntata alla realizzazione di gioielli che siano leggeri ma al tempo stesso tridimensionali, in un gioco di linee a definire imperfette volumetrie vuote. Partendo dal presupposto che lavorare con il metallo richiede un inevitabile impatto sull'ambiente, la mia produzione intende porsi in modo etico secondo due strade: la prima volta all'utilizzo minimale del materiale per il massimo effetto; la seconda insita nel tipo di produzione stessa improntata all'auto-produzione e alla realizzazione artigianale fuori dagli schemi seriali dei brand di moda. Da queste istanze la moda non è esclusa negli articoli realizzati per vestire nella vita di tutti i giorni, scegliendo tra finiture satinate o lucide con escursioni nel colorato mondo degli smalti e delle gemme.

Since 2002, design and realize of my handmade silver jewelry 925 and steel. My self-production, limited edition, is marked by the creation of jewels that are light but at the same time three-dimensional, in a game of imperfect lines to define empty volumes. Assuming that working with metal requires an inevitable impact on the environment, my work is meant to be in an ethical manner in two ways: the first time the use of minimal material for maximum effect, the second inherent in the type of production guided by the same self-production and craft products outside the serial production of fashion brands. From these instances, fashion is included in the items made to dress up in the life of every day, choosing from satin or shining finish with excursions into the colorful world of enamels and gems.
